Is it really non-slip when I sweat?

Yes for everyday practice. The surface is 100% natural rubber with GoalGrip™ for high friction, steady from day one in Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga. For very hot, sweaty studio classes (including hot yoga), we do not recommend this mat: we would rather say so than oversell.

How does the grip feel when you start?
